Much as I spend more time cruising than dinghy sailing nowadays, I learnt to sail in a Laser many years ago and have sailing lots of dinghies since then. My friend and I keep our 49er at the club and have enjoyed some great blasts up and down Langstone Harbour. We took park in our first race with the club on 11th November in the Poppy Race and had a brilliant time. The whole racing experience was great fun and felt very supportive and friendly. Having raced at a number of clubs down here and on large reservoirs, it was an absolute joy to race in such an inclusive environment. We're looking forward to lots more racing in 2024!
