As you are hopefully aware, paddlesports (including kayaks, canoes, paddleboards and rowing) are now an integral part of the offering from LSC - still a sailing club by name we are a watersports club by nature! The club has 4 paddleboards, 2 single sit-on-top kayaks and 1 double available for rental through the website if you don't have your own equipment - and rack space available for storing boards or kayaks if you do have your own.

Learn about the LSC paddling facilities including the club owned SUPs and kayaks, racks, website information, paddling forum etc
Talk about destinations and trips
Discuss and help define the LSC paddling programme for 2025
Bar will be open for the event, meet Thursday 26th June at 19:00. Hope to see you there!
Many members already paddle or row at the club or elsewhere, but for the second year running we now have
dates in the calendar which are a focus for social paddling. We also have a forum dedicated to paddling and a forum dedicated to rowing on the club website which can be used for adhoc communication between members and to organise outings. This year some of the dates on the calendar have a destination in mind - weather dependant of course. Some of the dates are suitable for everybody, others will be for more experienced paddlers looking to go further - check out the calendar to see what suits!
To help get more targeted information out to those who want to know, we are creating a new distribution list that you can subscribe to in the members area of the website - we already have lists for cruisers, dinghies, juniors and social, this will be a new list that allows you to receive emails from the club focused on paddling. If you want to be added to that list, you can do it yourself through the members portal or send an email to paddlesports@langstonesc.org.uk to be added. I am taking the liberty of adding people I know paddle to the list - you can unsubscribe at any time if you so desire!
So to recap, for paddling information you can:
Check the club calendar
subscribe to the "paddling matters" distribution list in the members area of the website
Use the paddling forum on the website
email paddlesports@langstonescorg.uk
There is also a dedicated page on the website HERE for paddling including links to club documents designed to help you paddle safely and in an environmentally-friendly way - please do take the time to look at those.
Please come and join us, no matter what your level!
