Cobnor Sail and Camping Weekend 14th -15th June

REPORT & PHOTOS
The Cobnor sail and camp weekend was a great success thanks to a team effort from everyone. The wind on Saturday was forecast 4-6 with gusts of 7, so rather than cancel, some more experienced sailors sailed round accompanied by Sailability members in Charge of Dave, in Joyce and Hilary Farrow, and Sinbad and the rib, towing a couple of Fevas, do that the Juniors would be able to sail on Sunday. This all worked well, in spite of a problem finding our allocated mooring.
Meanwhile a group of adults and children had a swim at Cobnor, while wait for them to arrive.
Back at the camp, it was like a mini festival with camper vans and tents, several well behaved dogs, games of football and cricket, a barbecue supervised by Luke and the songs and marshmallow toasting round the fire pit.
Sunday morning dawned bright and sunny, though some people were rather slow to emerge from their tents after a late night. This time the weather was perfect for a sail home, so the juniors were able to swop in and out of boats, supervised by Drew and Lindsey.
Thanks to so many people for their support in making this a memorable weekend.
