UPDATE JUNE,
Couple of quick updates for Juniors:
This event is open to juniors at all levels, it would be great to have some of our more experienced juniors helping the less experienced.
The weather forecast is currently for F3 winds and 25C - ideal conditions!
Please sign up asap, bookings close midday on Saturday to give us time to organise. Sign-up here.
If you are thinking about it but not sure, feel free to call me to discuss.
As a reminder, the week is open to Junior members - grandchildren or other relatives can also take part.
We are also opening the week up to friends of participants who are not members - they can become temporary members for the week. Invoices will be issued shortly to those who have completed the application form.
Any questions or suggestions please feel free to contact me!

- Junior Week sign-up
Applications are now open for Junior Week 2026, commencing the 27th July - 2 August.
This is a week of RYA training by qualified instructors and is open to Junior members at all levels from the age of 8. Exact format depends on who signs up - so to help the volunteers to organise it smoothly,
please sign up asap!

Once we have an initial view of attendees, deposits will be requested and places confirmed on receipt of the deposit. It is highly recommended that Junior Week attendees also attend the free Fun on The Water sessions through the season - this helps enormously with giving the juniors confidence through being in an environment they know and being with people that they know (see below).
- JIB's (Juniors in Boats) have become FOTW (Fun on the Water) !
Our Junior sessions through the season have reverted back to the old name of FOTW. This is not only to remind us that our goal is having fun, but also allows us to look at other water activities if the conditions don't allow sailing - we may switch to paddleboards/kayaks for example or take a trip on Sinbad if that makes more sense on the day.
These sessions are open to all junior members whether attending Junior Week or not, but require sign-up on the sign-up forms which will be available on the club website calendar.
Provisional dates for FOTW's are:
Sun 10th May / Sun 7th June / Sun 21st June / Sun 19th July /Sat 15th August / Sun 30th August
These may vary according to demand - check the website calendar for the latest details!
As a reminder, members' grandchildren also qualify for both Junior Week and FOTW's but require a family or combined membership.
