The BEAULIEU RIVER RALLY - 14th to 16th July

This is a 3-day, 2-night rally, the first night berthing at Shepards Marina, West Cowes, before sailing in company down the Beaulieu River and into the heart of the New Forest for the final night.
The Beaulieu River and Bucklers Hard is progressively becoming one of the most difficult venues to secure a visitor's berth. Being one of the few privately owned rivers in the world, the river has been under the custodianship of the Montagu family for over four centuries. Today the Beaulieu River is a beautiful and tranquil spot, well-loved by yachtsmen and nature enthusiasts.
We have managed to secure 12 berths at Shepards Marina and on the Walk- ashore Pontoon in Beaulieu.
As with all rallies you may be able to extend your stay.
The programme is as follows:
- Tuesday 14th July Shepards Marina West Cowes (Chichester HW 12.06 BST)
This will give members the opportunity to sail down through the Solent in company and onto the picturesque Medina River and West Cowes for an overnight stay at Shepards Marina.
West Cowes offers a variety of attractions, from maritime museums to beautiful coastal walks, making it a delightful destination for visitors.
Shepards Marina, being centrally located, gives visitors easy access to West Cowes town centre, the parade with its range of sailing shops, restaurants and cafes.
There will be a need to collectively raft up in the marina.
Welcome drinks at 6.00pm on the pontoon, followed by a pre-booked dinner at the Duke of York Pub at 7.00pm.
- Wednesday 15th July Beaulieu Marina (Walk Ashore Pontoon) Leaving on Thursday 16th July.
The Beaulieu Marina has a great deal to offer the visiting yachtsperson, with probably some of the best facilities in the Solent and being situated in the heart of the New Forest National Park there are many great walks to be had.
Alternatively, those seeking a scenic escape, why not relax in this peaceful haven or visit the historic Bucklers Hard.
A BYO (bring your own food / utensils) BBQ has been organised for the Wednesday evening at 6.30pm
Closing date for completed booking form is 14th June (latest) no further bookings will be taken after this date.
