JUNIOR WEEK 2025

Published 16:28 on 21 Jul 2025
Wednesday 23rd to Sunday 27th July
Junior Week 2025 will involve rigging, launching and recovering up to 15 dinghies and 4 safety boats with children aged 7- 15, with a high proportion of younger children.
To ensure that the Junior Week launch and recovery are done safely and efficiently, access to the pontoon and boatpark south and west of the clubhouse, as well as use of Mylor, will be restricted and under BEACHMASTER control:
- Pontoon
Before attempting to come alongside the pontoon, please contact the Langstone Beachmaster on VHF channel 37 / M1 to request permission.
- Vehicular Access
The south barrier will be accessible but cones will block access south of the clubhouse. Either unload your car at the cones or find the Beachmaster (Hi-Vis jacket) to request permission to pass the cones. The North barrier will be accessible as usual but please do not attempt to bring your vehicle further than the disabled parking spaces alongside the clubhouse.
- Sinbad and Mylor
Sinbad is unavailable during Junior Week as it is used as a base on the water. Mylor is under Beachmaster control and is used to bring children back to the club when necessary. If you need to use Mylor, contact the Beachmaster.
Requests for access will not be unreasonably refused but during rigging, launch and recovery you may be asked to wait please respect the BEACHMASTER decision.
