CRUISER RALLY 23rd to 28th June - WEYMOUTH (Town Quay) RALLY

The Go West rally and an opportunity to join a 6-day (fully organised Out only) LSC rally, giving you the opportunity to sail in company out from the Solent and into the lovely waters of the Dorset Coast. It's a chance to sail along theJurassic Coast, and maybe even a quick stop for lunch at Lulworth Cove, before heading onto Weymouth Harbour.

As with all rallies you can shorten or lengthen your stay, but with this rally there is the flexibility to tailor your passage to your own requirements, for example sailing directly to Yarmouth and not stopping off for an overnight stay on the Folly Pontoon etc.

The programme is as follows:

Monday 23rd June - The Folly Walk-Ashore Pontoon - Tide Chichester HW 10.14 BST 4.4m

Giving members the opportunity to break up their journey to Yarmouth with a morning sail down the Solent and up the picturesque Medina River, with dinner at the famous Folly Inn. There will be a need to collectively raft up.
There will be welcome drinks at 6.00pm on the pontoon, followed by a pre-booked dinner at the Folly Inn at 7.00pm.

Tuesday 24th June - Yarmouth Marina Walk Ashore Pontoon (leaving for Poole Harbour on Wednesday 25th June)- Tide Portsmouth HW 11.00 BST 4.4m

The beautiful Yarmouth Harbour lies on the Isle of Wight's northwest coastline and acts as a gateway to West Wight's Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, providing walk-ashore access to Yarmouth town.

There is plenty to see and do in Yarmouth and why not explore some of the many special walks in the local area, such as the Western Yar Estuary Circular Walk or the Robert Hooke Trail. Tables have been booked at The Bugle Coaching Inn for 7.00pm.

Wednesday 25th June - Poole Harbour / Studland Bay(leaving for Weymouth on Thursday 26th June) - Tide Portsmouth HW 11.57 BST 4.5m

This a free day (no formal berthing arrangements have been made) to give members the opportunity to sail in company out of the Solent and across Christchurch Bay towards Poole,other picking up a mooring buoy in Studland Bay or arranging a berth in one of the many marinas available in Poole Harbour.

Skippers also have the choice to sail directly to Weymouth, should they choose to do so, making their own berthing arrangements.

Thursday 26th to Saturday 28th June Weymouth Harbour (walk-Ashore Pontoon) (leaving on the Saturday 28th June or why not stay longer) - Tide Portsmouth HW 12.52 BST 4.6m

Weymouth Harbour (The old harbour) forms the mouth of the River Wey and is centrally located near the town centre and Weymouth's sandy beaches.

The Walk-Ashore Visitors Pontoon has been booked, giving good access to the town centre. There will be drinks on the pontoon on Thursday 26th June tbc.

Dinner has been booked for 7.00pm on the Friday 27th June at Shalim's Balti House Indian Restaurant.
