Monday 8th July to Friday 12th July
Hosts for the event We are looking for volunteer Hosts.
This being the club's 4th rally of the season (with 2 rallies remaining) we thought it would be a great idea to organise a rally that would appeal to many of our cruiser members, the new to cruising member, the seasoned hand, the novice racer, but most importantly cruising boats of all shapes and sizes.
Over this 5-day rally you will have the opportunity to join us at West Cowes - Shepard's Marina on Monday 8th July or sail directly to Beaulieu Marina on Tuesday 9th July for the night and then sailing / informal racing onto Hythe Marina for a 2-night stay.
PLEASE BOOK NOW! Booking Form - [HERE]
- Monday 8th July - Shepard's Marina West Cowes Leaving on Tuesday 9th July.
Tide - Chichester HW 14.11
Shepard's Marina is an access at all states of the tide marina, located just inside the river Medina offering good berthing facilities and creating the opportunity to raft together in one area. The marina location gives easy walking access to West Cowes and its sailing shops, bars, and restaurants.
There will be drinks on the pontoon from 6.30pm, although no dining arrangements has been made, giving the skippers the flexibility to make their own arrangements.
- Tuesday 9th July Beaulieu Marina (Walk Ashore Pontoon) Leaving on Wednesday 10th July.
Tide - Portsmouth HW 14.52
The Beaulieu Marina is progressively becoming one of the most difficult venues to secure a visitor's berth. Being one of the few privately owned rivers in the world, the river has been under the custodianship of the Montagu family for over four centuries. Today the Beaulieu River is a beautiful and tranquil spot, well-loved by yachtsmen and nature enthusiasts.
A BYO (bring your own food / utensils) BBQ has been organised for the Tuesday evening at 7.00pm.
- Wednesday 10th to Friday 12th July Hythe Marina Leaving for home on Friday 12th July.
Tide Portsmouth HW 15.33
This is an opportunity for those skippers who wish to take part in an informal race (details t.b.c) from the entrance of the Beaulieu River to the entrance of Hythe Marina.
Hythe marina was the first marina village to be built in the UK and is still one of the finest located on Southampton water. With its first-class berthing, shops, restaurants, and bars it makes for a relaxing stay.
The marina entrance is controlled by lock gates operated 24 hours. Due to the marinas location it is easy to pop across the water on the Hythe ferry to Southampton city.
Closing date for completed booking form is the 13th June (no further bookings will be accepted after this date)
Further details regarding the rally will be E Mailed out to those who have completed the booking form nearer the time.
We have secured 12 berths at each of the marinas So to avoid disappointment book early by completing the attached booking form.
If you would like to volunteer to host this rally, please get in touch.
