Hudson Cup

There are only 2 dinghy trophies at LSC that aren't based around racing. Nobody wants one of these (the Mudhopper's trophy for the worst disaster) while the second is more sought after - The Hudson Cup. This is a challenge, not a race, with points awarded for good seamanship skills while progressing through a series of tasks (including gybing, anchoring, heaving to, coming alongside...). This is followed by a debriefing explaining the RYA best practice for each task and exploring why nobody seemed to do it that way - both educational and entertaining!

NEW DATE forHudson Cup Sailing Skills Race Sunda 21st September 10:00. An "obstacle course" on a boat demonstrating your seamanship skills. If sailing backwards, slaloming and coming alongside is your thing, this is the race for you.
