Harbour Dues- UPDATE 17/06/26
Although the club has been able to obtain some concessions from the Chichester and Langstone Harbour Boards, the situation regarding harbour dues is still under negotiation.
We have been asked to provide more detail on boat numbers etc to the boards for them to assess impacts and our data from mooring and berthing along with the replies to the survey have assisted with that. We will shortly be meeting again with the Harbour Masters to progress.
We are also in discussion with the Chichester Harbour Federation and RYA as to any assistance they can provide.
In the meantime, those of you who requested Langstone Harbour stickers and have paid the invoice can pick them up from the bar.
Application for reduced Langstone Harbour dues and survey of harbour use 10/04/202
Dear Langstone Sailing Club Member,
As you are hopefully aware craft using Langstone Harbour, the water to the west of the old railway bridge, now have to pay harbour dues to Langstone Harbour Board (see the
harbour dues news article on the website that was also emailed to Members).
Langstone Harbour Board has agreed that if Langstone Sailing Club manages the collection of dues from its members we will receive a 50% reduction in the fees paid.
For this process to be manageable for Club Officers we are asking members who wish to take advantage of this reduced rate to complete this
Langstone Harbour dues form by FRIDAY 24 APRIL.
Note: owners of cruisers and their tenders do not need to complete this form as it is for all other craft using Langstone Harbour, including dinghies, canoes/kayaks, paddleboards and any other craft you launch from the club.
An invoice will be issued by mid-May and once paid plaques will be requested from Langstone Harbourmaster and once received be available from the bar during opening hours.
The Club will continue to try and negotiate better rates with both Chichester Conservancy and Langstone Harbour Boards over the coming year, but to do so we need an understanding of how the harbours are used so we are also asking members to complete this
Harbour use form.
Specific information provided will be treated as confidential and not shared with 3
rd parties, though summary statistics may be.
Yours faithfully
