The electricity bollards in the boat yard and the external sockets around the club house were installed to assist members maintaining their boats. The club has not, to date, charged members for their use. Moderate use of electricity is covered by the storage fee. In the light of increasing energy charges this policy has been reviewed.

  • Electricity may not be used by unattended boats or vehicles.
  • Electricity may not be used to recharge electric vehicles.
  • Overnight use of electricity by boats is permitted, but a charge will be made.
  • Motor homes using electricity at any time will be charged.

Any boat or vehicle which is connected to a bollard or socket will be deemed to be "using" electricity. Overnight use means any time between 21:00 and 06:00. Periodic checks will be made to monitor usage.

Members will be responsible for making payment. This can be done by direct payment BACS to the club bank account, or by cash or cheque posting in the club office. Add the boat name / vehicle registration number next to your name when booking.

If payment is made by the member the charge is £5.00 per day. However, if payment is not received within 24 hours any member using electricity will be invoiced £10.00.

3 durations proposed 1,2, or 3 nights. (*)
