Forums, LSC PADDLESPORTS, BBC film crew at LSC
There is going to be a film crew at LSC around midday on Thursday doing a piece on the impact of pollution on harbour users – we are trying to get some people together to be there showing how we use the harbour, Sailing, kayak, SUP etc – and potentially be interviewed (no obligation). Would you be available? Reply here!
I can be there but I have no personal knowledge of pollution but I am appalled by the amount of sewage dumped into the sea
They’re not looking for experts, just people who use the harbour to understand how the pollution (or perception of it) affects our activities
I think that it would be good from both a club and anti-sewage perspective for there to be people at the club. Not necessarily to be interviewed but to show that the pollution is affecting a vibrant community of water sports enthusiasts, an empty club doesn’t send the same message.
Meet time is 12:00 with the BBC arriving a little later. They don’t want us to be experts in pollution, they want to know how it affects our going on the water. If the weather is OK it would be good to have some people on the water and of course the opportunity of being interviewed if you want it!

I said that I would come down but I don’t really want to now because it is raining – however if you think you need me I can come – let me know
