Application for reduced Langstone Harbour dues and survey of harbour use 0 Replies Posted 21 April 2026
As you are hopefully aware all craft using Langstone Harbour are now required to pay Harbour Dues to Langstone Harbour Board. It has agreed that if Langstone Sailing Club manages the collection of dues from its members we will receive a 50% reduction in the fees paid. For this process to be manageable for Club Officers we are asking members who wish to take advantage of this reduced rate to complete this Langstone Harbour dues form (https://machform.langstonesc.org.uk/view.php?id=399794) by FRIDAY 24 APRIL (this is a genuine site although I get a site warning when I completed the form). Note: owners of cruisers and their tenders do not need to complete this form as it is for all other craft using Langstone Harbour, including dinghies, canoes/kayaks, paddleboards and any other craft you launch from the club. An invoice will be issued by mid-May and once paid plaques will be requested from Langstone Harbourmaster and once received be available from the bar during opening hours.
The Club will continue to try and negotiate better rates with both Chichester Conservancy and Langstone Harbour Boards over the coming year, but to do so we need an understanding of how the harbours are used so we are also asking members to complete this Harbour use form (https://machform.langstonesc.org.uk/view.php?id=402952). Specific information provided will be treated as confidential and not shared with 3rd parties, though summary statistics may be.

Cobnor Weekend 0 Replies Posted 24 March 2026
Hi All, just giving a heads up about the Cobnor Weekend. Jo and I will be transporting our kayak on Friday night to the campsite. This will be a great opportunity to explore this part of the harbour. If anyone is interested then please contact Ethna Haines as soon as possible to assist in gauging numbers. Access to this part of the harbour can only be from the campsite, we do not have the resources to ensure members safety kayaking or paddle boarding from the sailing club. We foward to hearing from you. Jo and Lou

Paddling Friday? 6 Replies Posted 3 July 2025
I’m looking to go out Friday 4th, leaving at 19:00. Destination depending on the wind – I normally try and head out into the wind to get an easy ride back, but may head into Chichester Harbour if the wind is stronger and Chi side better protected.
Anybody coming out?

Paddlesports this weekend 6th April 0 Replies Posted 5 April 2024
Always a risk for events at the beginning of the season, but the forecast for Sat 6th isn’t suitable for a paddling meet – so personally I won’t be there! Hope the weather settles soon… Don’t forget the dates in the calendar are suggestions, if you want to go on a different day and would like company, post here in the forum so others know when you want to go.
Will you help us decide what to put in the calendar next year? 0 Replies Posted 18 November 2023
We currently have surveys open to help us plan training, dinghy/small craft activities and Juniors. If you haven’t already looked at them please do – closing tomorrow! https://langstonesc.org.uk/art…

Paddlesport Orienteering is ON tomorrow, Sat 2nd Sep. Sailing however is cancelled 3 Replies Posted 1 September 2023
Due to forecasts of F1-2 easterly winds tomorrow combined with a high spring tide that gives strong currents through the blocks making it very difficult to get back unaided, the sailing element of the Orienteering is CANCELLED. Paddlesports still on though, briefing at 12:30, start at 13:00, duration 1 hour. All levels / ages welcome.

Would you be available? Reply here!
